Led by Nuvama Crossover Series of funds, managed by Nuvama Asset Management Ltd, and with participation from Carnelian Asset Advisors Pvt. Ltd, this funding round follows a previous investment of $28 million from 360 ONE Asset Management Ltd’s tech fund. With a valuation of $250 million, Course5 plans to utilize the funds to accelerate its inorganic growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and further enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Inorganic Growth Strategies:
Course5 Intelligence aims to pursue strategic M&A opportunities to augment its capabilities, access intellectual property (IP), and expand its customer base. Ashwin Mittal, Chairman and Chief Executive of Course5, stated that they are primarily seeking companies with revenues in the $10 to $20 million range, which have established solid businesses or are experiencing growth. Additionally, the company plans to explore partnerships with deep tech AI startups. By combining these initiatives, Course5 intends to enhance its offering and market position.
Focus on AI-driven Intellectual Property:
Course5 recognizes the importance of developing AI-driven intellectual property and plans to allocate a significant portion of the funds towards its AI labs. By investing in research and development, Course5 aims to create innovative AI solutions that can solve complex market and supply chain issues for its clients. These investments will further solidify the company’s expertise in AI and enable it to deliver cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
Impressive Clientele and Revenue Growth:
Course5 Intelligence boasts an impressive client portfolio, including Fortune 500 companies across various sectors such as retail, technology, media, and entertainment. Leveraging its AI capabilities, Course5 helps these clients address critical business challenges. With a team of 1300 employees spread across India, UAE, the UK, Canada, and the US, the company generated $50 million in revenue in FY23. It anticipates surpassing the $100 million mark in the current financial year, reflecting its substantial growth trajectory.
Public Listing and Acquisitions: With its ambitious growth plans, Course5 Intelligence is targeting a public listing within the next 18-24 months. This move will not only enhance the company’s visibility but also provide additional opportunities for expansion and investment. Moreover, Course5 is currently in talks with five prospective companies for potential acquisitions. Over the next 12 months, the company intends to complete two acquisitions, leveraging its cash reserves and cash accruals of around $80 million.
Course5 Intelligence’s successful funding round and subsequent plans for inorganic growth signify its dedication to becoming a dominant player in the data analytics and AI industry. By leveraging the newly acquired funds, investing in AI labs, and pursuing strategic acquisitions, Course5 is poised to strengthen its capabilities, expand its customer base, and solidify its position as a leading provider of AI-driven solutions. With its remarkable revenue growth and a focus on innovation, Course5 Intelligence is set to shape the future of data analytics and AI-driven insights.
