Course5 Intelligence, a data analytics startup, recently closed its first external funding round, raising an impressive $53 million (approximately Rs 438 crore). Led by Nuvama Crossover Series of funds, managed by Nuvama Asset Management Ltd, and with participation from Carnelian Asset Advisors Pvt. Ltd, this funding round follows a previous investment of $28 million from 360 ONE Asset Management Ltd’s tech fund. With a valuation of $250 million, Course5 plans to utilize the funds to accelerate its inorganic growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and further enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.Â

Ashwin Mittal, Chairman and Chief Executive of Course5, stated that they are primarily seeking companies with revenues in the $10 to $20 million range, which have established solid businesses or are experiencing growth. Additionally, the company plans to explore partnerships with deep tech AI startups. By combining these initiatives, Course5 intends to enhance its offering and market position.Â

Public Listing and Acquisitions: With its ambitious growth plans, Course5 Intelligence is targeting a public listing within the next 18-24 months. Moreover, Course5 is currently in talks with five prospective companies for potential acquisitions. Over the next 12 months, the company intends to complete two acquisitions, leveraging its cash reserves and cash accruals of around $80 million.Â
